I want to start with a big thank you for subscribing to this newsletter and investing your most valuable and finite resource in my musings.
I’m deeply honoured you choose to open these emails where I share my most open, honest and raw content (with a few offers sprinkled in here and there).
I’ve taken a few weeks off writing these emails to go inwards and ask myself a few questions; what’s working about it? what’s not? What am I enjoying about it? What am I NOT enjoying about it?
I’d love to be able to reveal a shining new and improved approach for 2024.
But I’m not.
To be completely transparent, I’ve had no transformative insights.
I enjoy sharing my insights here.
I sometimes get lovely responses from readers that resonate with my share.
I often get frustrated when I can’t communicate what I’m trying to share.
It’s not uncommon for me to worry about what I’m going to write or how it’s going to be received.
So for now, I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing.
I’m bringing an ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it’ mentality.
With all the pressure of new years resolutions and ‘new year new me’ energy, it’s easy to look for problems where there aren’t many.
Try to create changes and optimisations where none are needed.
How does this resonate for you?
Are there any parts of your life where you’re seeking change or progress when really what’s needed is just a little break?
I’m part way through writing a newsletter about my experience of going alcohol free in December and over Christmas.
Last year's mindset would have seen me dig in and force myself to get it out today.
The time away from writing and the new approach is to be more intuitive and keep it fun.
So you’ll have to wait for next week's edition to get the scoop on that.
Wishing you a peaceful start to the year,
Graham
